Elise, a Kopis (demon fighter), after her last fight in which one of her best friends, if she has any, was killed and she killed the demon who controlled the demons and dimension gates just wants to rest and have nothing to do with angels, demons, her ex-partner or Anthony, her best friends cousin who thinks he is her boyfriend. McIntyre, another kopis and someone she considers a friend has asked her to come see him. It seems The Union, a group of Kopis' from Europe who have joined together and are looking to bring the US area under their control, has called a summit and called McIntrye to joined them to mediate a summit between angels and demons regarding the breech of the gates in Reno. A Breech Elise caused. He ask her to go as him since his wife is about to have a baby. When she and Anthony arrive there, they are grabbed and about to be charged with murder of a union operative and things go downhill from there.Ms Reine has again written a good although short story about Elise, who just wants to forget that she was once known as "The Greatest Kopis" and is also known by angels and demons as "God-killer." She keeps the reader wondering how Elise has managed, if she has, to remain sane with everything that has happened to her. She keeps the reader entertained as she does so. A word of advise, the books should be read in order to fully understand the situation but can be read as standalone's if desired.

Couldn't put it down! Captivating. Great series to read for both teens and adults alike. Will be buying more books from this author
This series grabbed my attention from first book, can't wait to read them all
I purposefully waited for 5 books in this series to be completed before I started reading it because being familiar with the authors work I knew they would be hard to put down once I started. I was not disappointed. I have breezed through the first 5 of the series and am getting wrapped up in the 6th and expect to be finished in a day or so. I can only hope the next one is nearing completion. Sara manages to bring the characters alive for the reader in every page.
Oh my gosh, the author has captivated my attention once again. The heroine, demon God slayer is at it again. She's fighting to protect her territory. Onto the next sequel!!
Being the Godslayer has its ups and downs and Elise has been flying under the radar since the the Night Hag was slain. Conned into doing a friend a favour, Elise ends up in the middle of a murder investigation and Lucas McIntyre her old friend is their number one suspect. Mediating between angels and demons is nothing new for her to deal with but life always seems to get complicated. Attending the summit is causing more problems than anticipated and her boyfriend Anthony is still dealing with his issues. Can Elise find out the truth and when she does will she make the right choice?

So, she has several series, but they all interact with each other in some way or another. LOVE THAT, because your sad you want to know more about this person or this event, GOT IT in another series!!!
Anyways, LOVE her, LOVE all her books I've read so far, I'm rereading the ones in better order since I'm finally able to purchase more books so I can finish story lines (was jobless for a bit ( killed me that i couldn't read more than a sample)
Good gravy! When S.M. Reine decides to stir up the pot, she does it in a BIG way! As bad as the otherworldly bad guys are, I find The Union to be utterly terrifying in a creeping, insidious sort of way. They're masquerading as the good guys, but they have their own agenda that threatens Elise and all the others like her. That gives me the willies in a way that no giant spider demon can.
I *really* like the direction the overall arc is taking. It's so dark that I can't see a way out of it for our heroes. Speaking of which, having Elise and James in two different cities was hard. The bond between them feels strained and unless they start talking to one another, I don't think that's going to change any time in the near future.
As stoic and unaffected as Elise normally is, I'm incredibly glad that something finally prodded her into stepping up to the plate and taking charge. Sure, it takes a coming together of the ethereal and the infernal, but she's finally letting herself take on the responsibilities that she's been running from. Big things are coming and Elise is going to need all the allies she can get her hands on.
